I rather enjoyed The Craft of Words as it really complemented my other reading. I felt it related very well with Robert Mills, Designing the Invisible, as it made connections with language and how we use and see it. It had also linked in very well with my previous and continuous reading of Designing Brand Identity.
This books speaks about how “Design is an umbrella that encompasses many connected areas” and that words are effectively a building block of our design process. A lot of the messages really resonated with me, in how important copy is, and the underlying meaning that it can create and purvey.
